About Fyne Films

I’m Heather MacDonald (née Longwell), a Glasgow-born wedding and events videographer – occasionally stepping behind the camera as a photographer too! I live in Glasgow with my very cool musician husband, Jamie (one half of musical duo Shaka Loves You), and our gorgeous little fur baby Lola, who gets round the clock royal treatment in our house!

We’re big lovers of the great Scottish outdoors, often found camping in our little van, exploring new places, or unwinding at Jamie’s family home on the Isle of Skye. When we’re not adventuring, you’ll find us enjoying the simple things—like relaxing in our back garden with Lola.

I hold a Master of Arts in Film & Television Studies from the University of Glasgow, and my journey into videography began right here in the city. I’ve worked with renowned events companies like The Blue Parrot Events Group and filmed for clients ranging from Glasgow’s iconic Buff Club to global names like lululemon, British Airways, BAFTA Scotland, and Cisco Technology.

I’ve been capturing weddings for almost ten years now, and what I love most is building a genuine connection with my couples and bringing their stories to life on film. No two weddings are ever the same, and my work reflects that – whether it’s a grand celebration in a Scottish castle, an intimate garden party, or a beautiful stately home. My goal is always to create a film that feels authentic, timeless, and full of the joy of the day.
